Teachers are passionate about their work, as evidenced by the students’ academic performance. They are amongst the top-ranked out of the 8 schools in Gaozha Town. Parents care about their children’s studies, and engage well with the school staff.

Buildings/Facilities

– 16 classrooms
– Library
– Computer Room: 39 computers
– Cafeteria: only enough for teachers’ use
– Restrooms: 40 squat-style toilets

Problems/Issues

The computers currently being used are the old model CRTs that were given to the school when the area’s central elementary school received new ones and are not all of the same brand/model. We hope to replace them with 45 newer computers that have LCD screens. Classroom desks/chairs are old, with 150 sets needing replacements. In need of projectors, electronic white boards, and copiers.
