Grades: K-5 (7 classes total)

This school is of moderate quality.

Students

No. of Students: 153 (no boarding)

Students’ parents highly value education. The student population is stable. Students go to the central elementary school for the sixth grade.

Teachers

No. of Teachers: 9

Music, PE, and art classes are taught, but the teachers are not specialized. English classes begin in the third grade.

Buildings/Facilities

– 8 classrooms
– Library: ~500 books
– Computer Room: 2 computers
– Cafeteria: newly constructed; lunch costs 3 RMB
– Restrooms: 12 squat-style toilets

Problems/Issues

Not enough educational tools/equipment, and computers are almost unusable. The campus grounds have yet to be concreted or landscaped. Need more library books. Classroom desks and chairs are old.
